NHS Treatment

NHS dental charges from 1 April 2019

Morden Park Dental Practice is committed to preventive dentistry and taking care of all our patients dental needs.

There are three standard charges for NHS dental treatments.

Band 1 course of treatment – £22.70
This covers an examination, diagnosis (e.g. X-rays), advice on how to prevent future problems and scale & polish if needed.

Band 2 course of treatment – £62.10
This covers everything listed in Band 1, plus any further treatment such as fillings, root canal treatment and extractions.

Band 3 course of treatment – £269.30
This covers everything listed in Bands 1 and 2, plus crowns and dentures.

You do not have to pay for NHS dental treatment if, when the treatment starts, you are:

  • aged under 18
  • under 19 and receiving full-time education
  • pregnant or have had a baby in the previous 12 months
  • receiving Income Support or Universal Credit
  • receiving Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • receiving Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
  • receiving Pension Credit guarantee credit
  • named on a valid NHS tax credit exemption certificate or you are entitled to an NHS tax credit exemption certificate
  • named on a valid HC2 certificate
